Intro:

Restaurants can play a huge part in shaping the communities of our cities. Across the Atlantic, in New York, one restaurant is doing just that for journalists.

The city is one of the world’s media capitals – a home for reporters from far and wide, who flock there in search of stories and opportunities. It’s also a base for many foreign correspondents, often living a split existence between newsrooms, offices and conflict zones. They form a close community that provides valuable support and guidance to its members.

Twelve years ago, three journalists decided to create a place where this community could hang out, share secrets and enjoy good food and drink – all under one roof.
